Thanks for reading! Now here's the explanation.This is an IC RP hook I hope to eventually grow into a network of characters writing, publishing, reading & exploring.The story so far: Mugito Publishing is little more than a vanity press/hobby for a semilegitimate Ul'Dahn businessman (NPC) with dreams of influencing Eorzean culture and leaving something of value behind...as a side benefit to laundering some money. Wylim Gofynan (my character) is his chief editor/underpaid factotum, obliged to the man for reasons unknown.Long term RP, FC membership, Fellowship/PF/Event participation is open to adults 21+ only.Few will be considered due to limited time & resources BUT I really want to gauge interest in this concept and start to build the story.RP is open during times noted. Please allow me to determine and communicate next steps. It's going to be a little tentative for a while as I figure things out.

First RP Walkthrough

Here's how we're doing this for now:I'll have my character Wylim Gofynan sitting at the designated time and place to meet prospective authors, and we can RP that interaction. If you're interested but unsure feel free to send me a /tell.Don't present anything NSFW or basically anything with IRL implications. No bigotry of any kind. This goes for editorial interactions with Wylim and for any group RP events we may organize.Do present interesting lore, IC memoirs, pamphlets on magical theory, poetry, half-baked novels, science, discoveries, cursed ancient texts-- It just has to be an idea your character is looking to publish. It does NOT have to be a GOOD idea nor does it have to be a fully fleshed out text. That's part of the fun! I am just looking for RP partners & collaborators; Wylim has NO qualifications for actually evaluating your character's writing and he has no idea what he's doing.If your character is just curious but not ready to put anything on the table yet, that's an RP option too!

Why is it like this? The story so far...

Exploring the tension between The Arts and The Money.Ulto Mugito, Ul'Dahn man of business and philanthropist (for tax purposes). Wylim Gofynan, a poet & dreamer, perpetually imperiled & easily exploited. In the normal course of business Mr Mugito sought to add to his holdings some derelict properties in Kugane. Wylim, his contractually loyal factotum, became enchanted with a rundown print shop included in the purchase-- and just like that! Tax shelter meets passion project! What will become of it?! Join us and find out.

But how?

1.) The FC - ((will be looking for founders)) A casual medium-RP hangout / umbrella corporation. it is not done yet & in true corporate fashion it exists for mostly administrative reasons. Will provide a few limited perks & hopefully some members will stay for the-----
2.) Roleplay! It's not all drudgery at Mugito Corp. Whether you're in the FC or the Fellowship or just a regular, characters can get to know each other and bring the story to life by attending Mugito Publishing Events, engaging in workplace roleplay, hosting public/retail/venue type events, and of course--
3.) Publishing! It is IC only but if your character is a writer, researcher or even an artist, why not submit a title for publication? Authors will have the opportunity to share their works via public readings & lectures & will get to see their title go live on our carrd. Your book will receive distribution to all of our affiliates, helping your stories become part of others' stories.
